Tata BP Solar has received the Enertia Award 2008 in the category of Project Management. The company received the award for the unparalleled rural electrification project it has executed in Chattisgarh state. It has electrified more than 300 remote villages through solar power plants which has ensured that high quality and reliable electricity is available to thousands of households. More than 100,000 people have benefited by the project which is bringing about a social revolution in Chattisgarh.
The prestigious Enertia Awards are India’s first and pioneering awards in energy and power sector and the only awards for “sustainable development”.
